A high intensity blast took place at a traffic signal on Netaji Subhash Marg near gate number 1 of the Red Fort metro station in central Delhi, at around 1852 hrs on 10 November 2025.
The blast allegedly occurred in a Hyundai i20 car. The blast was so intense that it burnt 8 to 10 vehicles around it.
Approximately 09 people have died and 20 are injured. The injured people are being treated at the LNJP hospital.
The Hyundai i20 car was bearing the Haryana number plate.
NIA, Delhi Police, SPG and FSL are investigating the case.
The Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah, addressed the media and informed about the blast and information so far. He then visited the LNJP hospital and met the injured. After that he visited the site of the incident.
The president, Smt Draupadi Murmu, the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, the leader of opposition, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, and other politicians offered condolences to the families of those who died in the incident.
In the last few days, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) police have recovered a total of 2900 kg explosives and arrested 3 doctors and 7 others from different parts of the country.
